What is WayStaq?

WayStaq is a travel planning and expense tracking app. You can build multi-country trip itineraries, manage all your pre-trip tasks (visas, bookings, vaccinations), log expenses while you travel and track your budget in real time — all in one place. It is designed to replace the messy combination of spreadsheets, notes apps and calendar reminders that most travellers juggle.

How do I track travel expenses?

Add an expense by selecting your trip, choosing a category (food, transport, accommodation, etc.) and entering the amount in whatever currency you are spending in. WayStaq automatically converts it to your home currency and adds it to your budget tracker. You can view a breakdown by category or by country at any time. Can I plan multi-country trips?

Yes — multi-country trips are a core part of WayStaq. Add as many countries and cities as you like, set dates for each stop, and your tasks and expenses will automatically associate with the right destination. Is WayStaq free to use?

Does WayStaq replace spreadsheets?

That is exactly what it is designed to do. Spreadsheets are flexible but they do not know your trip dates, they cannot link a visa task to your Thailand stop, and they cannot automatically convert Thai baht to pounds. WayStaq does all of that in a purpose-built interface. Most users find they ditch their travel spreadsheet within the first trip.

Can I share a trip with someone?

Trip sharing is available on Premium. Share a trip with a travel companion and both of you can view the itinerary, tasks and expenses together. Perfect for couples or groups of friends who want to stay in sync without endless message threads.
